Percodan is a pain reliever used to relieve moderate to severe pain. It contains a combination of aspirin and oxycodone. Aspirin is in the group of drugs called salicylates that work by reducing substances in the body that causes fever, pain, and inflammation. Oxycodone is in the group of drugs called narcotic pain relievers and are highly addictive if misused. Also, fast heart rate, hallucinations, easy bruising and bleeding, and problems with urination are serious and you should contact your doctor right away if you experience even one of these.

Side effects that are common and should be expected include headaches, dizziness, heartburn, nausea, gas, constipation, ringing in your eyes, diarrhea, and sweating. These side effects, although uncomfortable, should diminish after a few days of use. If these side effects do not diminish, contact your doctor and see what further action should be taken.
